Public API location: make.lono.io
Does Lono have a public API?
Yes! We believe interoperability among connected devices is critical to the long-term future success of the Internet of Things. We're excited to see what integrations you awesome developers come up with.
When will the public API be made available?
Lono's public facing API will be available in late July 2015 as a public beta. Check out make.lono.io for more information.
How can I get started using the public API?
To get started, take a look at make.lono.io/docs/getting-started. This will walk you through the steps to set up your application, and get you on the way to becoming a rain god!
Keep in mind, Lono's public API is still in active development. This means that many of the API calls documented (here) don't quite work how you'd expect just yet. We'd love to hear user feedback concerning our API implementation - email us and let us know at email@example.com.
What technologies are used to issue requests to the public API?
The calls to the public API are made over HTTP with JSON in the request body. Authorization is done either though OAuth2 or through a simplified authentication procedure for one-user applications.
